So today, I've decided to tear down my main windows PC that has served me faithfully for a number of years. But how many years have gone by? I had completely forgotten when it was that I had first assembled and installed this machine.
After a little googling, I learned that the systeminfo command also shows the installation date. It turns out that I've been running the same installation of Windows XP since: 11/5/2003, 10:06:14 PM That's 5 years, 3 weeks, and 2days.
The Machines specs at this time are:
CPU: Athlon XP 3200 2.2Ghz
RAM: 1GB
Motherboard: Abit NF7-S, (Nvidia nForce2 chipset w/ Soundstorm audio)
Disk: 2x 160GB SATA hd's in a RAID 0
1 DVD-ROM
1 DVD-RW (which acts flakey now and then and won't burn sometime)
The Machine is inside a Super Micro SC750a case (which was the home of the previous rig.)
It's been replaced with a Macbook Pro.
It's hostname was gemini.
RIP buddy. We've had some fun times.
